This workshop is for people who manage and practice the design of interactive products and will engage the audience in creative activities. Elisa del Galdo and Jan Šrůtek will explore how to balance business objectives, design strategy, user requirements, and design guidelines to create successful designs. You will learn how to create, critique, and iterate the designs collaboratively and how to justify your designs to your customers.
The workshop will be in English with no translation.
Elisa del Galdo
Director of User Experience – Flow Interactive
Elisa is responsible for the quality and delivery of every one of Flow’s client projects. She ensures best practice methodologies are employed by our User Experience Consultants and directly oversees all of Flow’s larger projects.
Elisa has been a user experience (UX) practitioner, researcher and instructor for over 20 years and is widely published on UX methodology and internationalisation. During her career, she has worked on over 100 interaction design projects in a wide range of industries, media and interaction types, including Internet, intranet, web-based applications, speech and language user interfaces, and mobile applications.
Elisa’s area of specialisation is internationalisation of products and systems and she has run many large-scale international and multilingual projects. In her tenure she has delivered multilingual projects with distributed teams in over 20 countries for clients such as Schlumberger, Fidelity Investments, JP Morgan Asset Management, Vodafone, Citibank, BBC, Amadeus, Euroclear, Atos Origin, Organon, British Telecom and ISI EMIS.
Jan Šrůtek
User Experience Consultant – Flow Interactive
Before joining Flow Jan worked as an Information Architect designing Web2.0 online community services and corporate websites. He also has experience as a Business Analyst for Online Marketing at SITA, a global IT company operating in the air transport industry.
Since at Flow, Jan has completed research and design projects for a number of clients including Transport for London, Tesco, HAYS, GAVI Alliance, and Standard Life. Apart from his capabilities in user-centred design methods, Jan is interested in Information Visualisation, Web Analytics, and Search Engine Optimisation.
Jan has a BSc in Information and Communication Management and an MSc in Human-Computer Interaction from University College London.
